The F2 body itself uses a vertically-traveling metal focal-plane shutter, completely mechanical and capable of operating without batteries. It includes professional features such as a mechanical self-timer, mirror lock-up, interchangeable backs, and motor drive compatibility (with the MD-1 or MD-2, sold separately).
